Honor to Late Annasaheb Latthe, Latthe Education Society is established in 13th June 1951. Annasaheb Latthe was social catalyst who devoted all his mind, money and heart to education specially to girls and backward classes. The seed of LES was planted in 1951 and it was nurtured by many personages and patrols. The vigorous efforts of Principal G. K. Patil and Smt. Kalantre Akka germinated the seed into sapling.

As Smt. ‘Kalantre Akka’ bestowed five acres of land of ‘Shravikashram’ and entrusted three branches, ‘Gandhi Shishuvihar’, ‘Kasturba Junior College of Education and Primary School to Latthe Education Society. During last seventy years the society is pervasively growing in Western Maharashtra and North Karnataka States through various branches. Recently, about 25000 students and 1500 Faculty members are devoting in the process of teaching and learning through 42 branches. Latthe Education Society is providing education from KG to PG. and Research as well. The society is having Arts, Science, Commerce, Law College, Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Polytechnic College, College of Education, Medical College, BCA, BCS, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Computer Science, ITI, Agricultural College, Primary Schools, Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools, English Medium School etc. branches.
